The LNR and DNR withdrew their proposed amendments to the Ukrainian Constitution mentioning the Crimea and Sevastopol. DNR and LNR representatives D V Pushilin and V NDeinego said in a joint statement, “The DNR and LNR consider the Crimea to be an integral part of Russia. Moreover, ideally, our Republics also would like to join the Russian Federation. However, we can only determine the status of the DNR and LNR within the parameters of the Minsk agreements. We want to emphasise that our ally Russia supports these agreements. These agreements state that we should determine the status of the Donbass through amendments to the Ukrainian Constitution. Yet, the Ukrainian Constitution has articles about the Crimea.
